Equations relating your runway velocity (v in m/s) to pole vault height (ht in m)
Equation for male elites: ht = 0.61v – 0.85
Equation for female elites: ht = 0.87v – 2.73
Equation for High school: ht = 0.825v – 2.869
There are several other equations relating workout performances to pole vault height. I’ve used these equations to relate how good your workout performances must be in order to get you to certain pole vault heights. These should be Winter off-season training goals to achieve.
